Hale Alter is a well known and respected public speaker, who specialises in
what different speech elements have on an audience. A former instructor at
Stanford University, she presents all of her work at an incredibly
professional level, and presents information that is targeted and unique.
Cara
Hale Alter has been teaching public speaking for over 10 years. She has
taught “Projecting Credibility and Confidence” to companies and individuals
throughout the US. She has spoken to big companies such as Google, Wells
Fargo, Fireman’s Fund and many more. Before embarking on her public speaking
career, she worked professionally as a voice-over actress, which gave her
the skills and knowledge of voice penetration and clarity. Although her
international credentials are slim, she has won numerous public speaking
awards in the United States.

Cara
is undoubtedly a quality teacher who knows exactly what she is talking
about. What surprised me was the incredible amount of detail that she goes
into. Her ability to look at every single minute part of public speaking,
and convincingly explain what effect it has on the audience, is nothing
short of incredible. I would go as far to say that she is the best source of
information on the web, and it is easy to see the years of experience and
research that goes into her public speaking presentations.
One
drawback for me is that she can be quite overwhelming at times, and somewhat
too professional. I am not a fan of being continually bombarded with
information and remaining serious throughout, from start to finish – I
prefer to learn in a relaxed and fun environment. Her language use is
sophisticated and her voice is not what I’d want to listen to for more than
ten minutes. She presents in a “university lecturer fashion”, which you may
feel comfortable in and enjoy, but I personally don’t.
